Boids

Every bird follows three simple rules, looking only at the birds near it. Nobody leads, and nobody knows the shape of the flock. The flock happens anyway.

The three rules

1SeparationDon't crowd the birds right next to you.
2AlignmentFly the way your neighbours are flying.
3CohesionDrift toward the middle of your neighbours.
